The Larp
Characters
Larp
Characters have now been sent out to all participants who have payed the registration fee. If you have signed up for the larp and haven't payed yet you will receive your character as soon as we have registered your payment. All characters have relationships to several of the other characters in the game.
At the pre-game workshop the day before the larp begins, we will work more on how each and every one will play their character and on the relationships between the characters.
We believe "the secrets are fun principle" is overrated. So the full character descriptions for all the characters are available here for downloading. In this way everyone can read all the other characters in the game if they so wish.
These are the groups of characters:
Costumes
Larp
The costume requirements for this larp can be quite easily met. You should be able to find something in your own closet or easily in second hand shops. In the game world most women dress very practical these days
If you want to make more out of your costumes, there are plenty of possibilities. Redesign has become very popular, especially from Men's wear. Making clothes out of interior textiles is also popular. Of course there is a difference between clothes made of old clothes and Redesign, and some redesigners are hotter than others.
There is still some make-up around of the good old kind, but it is used sparingly and can catch quite a price when bartered with other goods.
The costume challenge for men playing female characters at the second run of the larp demands a bit more work, but it doesn't have to be neither very difficult nor expensive. Here are some tips:
Few preparations
Larp
Many larps have preparations months in advance. This is not one of them. Advance preparations are kept to a minimum.
There are three things you need to do before the larp:
1. Fill in the registration form
2. Pay the registration fee
3. Read your character when you receive it, and fill in a form based on it
Two runs
Larp
The larp will be held twice within five days. The first run (28th June - 1st July) will have only female players playing female characters. For the second run (1st - 4th of July) we open for men who want to play female characters. Each run will have up to 35 participants.
How We Play
Larp
The playing style we are aiming for is a realistic one with an emphasis on human drama. There will be some metatechniques which will break with the realistic style of the rest of the larp. We will practice these techniques during the pre-game workshop. These are the metatchniques we plan on using:
- Monologues that are only heard by the players, not the characters
- A black box where scenes from the past or possible futures can be enacted
- A defined act break between act 1 and 2
- Directors which can play your inner voice when a character is alone
